1. Introduction
Welcome to Furora Pets and Services (“Furora”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using our website (www.furora.in) and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing or using any of our services.
2. Nature of Services
Furora operates as a platform providing pet-related products and services including but not limited to:
- Ethical breeder verification and documentation;
- Veterinary health checks and microchipping;
- Pet insurance facilitation;
- Training materials and guidance;
- Delivery, care packages, and onboarding support.
No direct sale of live animals occurs through Furora. Any live companion animal (“Pet”) included with a Furora Companion Package is provided complimentary, and all payments collected through the platform are strictly for services, documentation, insurance, logistics, and related products.
3. Ethical Compliance
Furora follows all relevant laws and guidelines issued by the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI), the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and other applicable Indian regulations. All companion animals included in Furora Packages are sourced only from AWBI-verified and ethical breeders. Internal documentation of breeder verification is maintained for compliance purposes.
4. Platform Role
Furora functions as a coordinating platform between verified breeders, veterinarians, and customers. Breeder identities and addresses are confidential and may only be disclosed when required by law or competent authorities.
5. Companion Packages
Each Furora Companion Package includes various services such as health screening, insurance, microchipping, starter kits, and verified documentation. Packages may vary in price depending on the level of services, breeder certification, and associated inclusions. Any reference to companion type (e.g., dog, cat, exotic bird) is for customer understanding only; the associated payment represents service and verification fees.
6. Delivery
Deliveries are handled exclusively by trained Furora Pet Care Specialists in compliance with AWBI transport norms. Currently, delivery is available within Chennai and select surrounding pincodes. Pickup is available upon prior coordination at designated pet-friendly locations.
7. Cancellations & Adjustments
Customers may request cancellation prior to completion of pre-delivery services. If veterinary examinations, documentation, or microchipping have already been performed, applicable service charges will be deducted from any eligible refund. All cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis at Furora’s discretion.
8. Health & Liability
Every Furora Companion Package includes veterinary verification and health certification prior to delivery. However, once the companion reaches the customer, Furora cannot be held responsible for health variations resulting from transportation stress, environmental changes, diet, negligence, or improper care. In rare cases where a verified pre-existing medical condition is established through documentary proof, Furora will work with the customer for appropriate resolution, which may include replacement or partial service credit.
9. Insurance
Complimentary insurance (currently facilitated through Bajaj or HDFC ERGO) may be included with certain Companion Packages. Insurance coverage, terms, and claims are governed by the respective insurer’s policies. Furora acts only as a facilitator and does not underwrite or guarantee insurance claims.
10. Payments
All payments on the Furora platform are processed through secure payment gateways (including Razorpay). By completing a transaction, you agree that payments are collected solely for services, documentation, and related deliverables. EMI or other payment methods are subject to the gateway provider’s terms.
11. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, text, and content displayed on Furora.in are the property of Furora Pets and Services and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
Furora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of its website or services. Our total liability in connection with any transaction shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for that specific package.
13. Breeder & Vendor Relationships
Furora may partner with local service providers for grooming, boarding, training, and veterinary consultations. Furora facilitates payments for such vendors but is not responsible for service execution once the service is handed over to the third-party provider.
14. Amendments
Furora reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms, pricing, or package structures at any time without prior notice. All updates will be published on Furora.in and shall take effect immediately upon posting.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall exclusively under the jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
